Our responsible investment policy

Aims to provide general guidelines for incorporating environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) criteria into investment analysis and decision-making processes that allow us to identify risks, opportunities, and management actions required for generating value within the framework of business sustainability and transparency with stakeholders.

In 2020, we became partners of the Programa de Inversión Responsable (PIR) and in 2021, we signed the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) promoted by the United Nations, as part of our commitment as a company to promoting the incorporation of ESG criteria in our investments. Through this policy, we seek to reaffirm our commitment to the sustainable development of our country.

Ambiental

Estos son algunos de los criterios que W Capital busca incorporar en sus planes de acción:
– Gestión en las emisiones de carbono, así como iniciativas para su reducción y monitoreo.
– Contaminación ambiental y desechos: estrategias de gestión de residuos peligrosos, iniciativas de reciclaje y manejo integral de basura, manejo de emisiones contaminantes, entre otros.
– Incentivar el uso de certificaciones ambientales internacionales.

Meta: Que todos los proyectos inmobiliarios de los portafolios cuenten con una certificación ambiental (Edge, Leed Bono Verde, etc.).

Gobierno Corporativo

W Capital cuenta con políticas y programas de anticorrupción, fraude y soborno, estructura de gobierno y prácticas de buen gobierno corporativo.
Se evalúa a los socios desarrolladores con criterios reputacionales, éticos y de buenas prácticas.
Para ello, son claves el Directorio, los Comités de Vigilancia, los Comités de Inversiones independientes, el Comité de ASG, y Comité de Riesgos y Auditoría.

Meta: Mantener la solidez de nuestro gobierno corporativo y promover en el mercado una política estricta anticorrupción.

Social

W Capital está adherida a políticas sobre manejo de discriminación y diversidad de empleados, gestión de salud y seguridad ocupacional.
Asimismo, un porcentaje significativo de sus inversiones inmobiliarias se enfocan en vivienda social (Programa MiVivienda).

Meta: Lograr un portafolio significativo de vivienda social y sostenible, tener una política estricta y que los contratistas tengan cero accidentes de obra.

Through our partners, we also promote the creation of formal and inclusive employment, and a safe work environment in compliance with current labor regulations.

SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

At W Capital, we consider it essential that our projects have a positive impact not only on the people who acquire the homes we develop but also on the environment surrounding them. For this reason, we promote that our projects have environmental certification and architecture that adds value to cities.

SDG 13: Climate Action

It is our commitment to achieve a clean, safe, and more resilient real estate industry. For this reason, W Capital SAFI has incorporated sustainable investment policies into its strategy and promotes permanent awareness-raising work with its developer partners. Additionally, we are signatories to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and the Programa de Inversión Responsable (PIR), both global and local references, respectively.
